This rose looks nothing like he did last year!

Wildeve is supposed to have pretty big flowers, not the little waterlilies he came with last May. Not that those didn't have their own charms. We have this boy planted next to Princess Alexandra of Kent(which is doing a lot better this year), and the blooms are about the same size. They're both beautiful, heat-tolerant roses. I think they were made for each other!

The CT Rose Society website had AUSbrother here as a featured rose a few years ago. She got a lot of blackspot last fall, but miraculously suffered no dieback. Planted close to Darcey Bussell, she is looking great today. She had a bit of a rocky start, but I do like her a bit more than Carding Mill. She has a wonderfully fruity fragrance, and she is shamelessly orange.
