Mystic Beauty is a sport of a sport of the famous Bourbon Rose "Souvenir de la Malmaison." Compared to SdM, it's supposed to be healthier and less prone to balling. I can't vouch for the similarity of the blooms, because this is a flower from an immature plant. Nevertheless, this rose is quite pretty. It has strange wine-like fragrance...

I can't believe that Allegra only produced two flowers this year! It must be Saint Swithun's influence. Duchesse de Montebello is a great bloomer!

Still, this flower is gorgeous. If there were a rose that looked like Allegra and bloomed like Marianne, it would be the perfect plant.

These are Marianne's last blooms of the year. Fare the well, ARDgoldeneyes! I hope that next year you'll bloom in dry weather!

I think that Scepter'd Isle is finally starting to edge out Heritage in my mind. It's been in the mid-80s lately, and Heritage cannot stand up to the heat.

For the record, these are the Austin roses I've grown that can take direct sun and 80+degree temperatures without shriveling up their flowers like used Kleenex:

Darcey Bussell
Charlotte
Princess Alexandra of Kent
Wildeve
Lady Emma Hamilton
Scepter'd Isle
Evelyn
Crown Princess Margareta
Winchester Cathedral

It's not like I'm living in Texas...jeez.
