Ha ha ha my Japanese PS2 just broke.

Uh...well....I actually managed to finish two knitted things over the past week. They're only scarves, but scarves are mighty!

The lace scarf is the Falling Water pattern, made out of Rowan Calmer in Lucky. I had always wanted to use that yarn but since it's like $11.50 a ball a scarf is all my budget can afford. ^o^ I usually hate working with cotton yarn but Rowan Calmer is a cotton/microfiber blend and very stretchy! It would be great for a sweater if you can afford it. I think it's ideal for lace because it can conform to any bend or stretch the pattern calls for.

The ribbed scarf is made with KnitPicks Panache in Mulled Wine doubled up with Rowan Kidsilk Haze in Blushes. Maybe it was a waste of the mohair but I only had one ball, anyway. I think it gives the scarf a cute fuzzy look.

All I have left to do in Nocturne is finish the Amara Deep Zone and then the final dungeon. But my PS2 just broke! I've had it for five years. When the door opens it makes a grinding sound and now it sounds like it's chewing on the disks when it reads them (even though they haven't been damaged, thank god). Maybe someone out there has been waiting for this moment...if so then shame on you! I guess it's time for one of those slimline models. ;_;

scarves are mighty indeed <3 They're both so pretty, I especially love the lace scarf! I'd love to try making one (opposed to buying!) someday.

Thank you ^_^! I'm a beginner at lace knitting but I can see a lot of appeal in it. It's fun to see something pretty growing from the needles every time you knit.
