Today it snowed like a big storm. I hear it's still snowing! Because it was a holiday, there was no school and the town didn't even bother sending out plows. I didn't realize that was the only thing keeping the roads clean! How pathetic. Everyone was hanging around the house, and it was pretty hectic. I stayed in my room for several hours sewing a mini SD outfit that I'm going to put up on eBay tomorrow night. I know I said my next outfit would be for a standard SD, but somehow I felt like making one of those little fairy-type outfits ^_^;;.....I used pink eyelet this time, with peach lace trim and a cream-colored ribbon lacing up the front. It wasn't that hard to make, but it took me an unbelievably long time! I wasn't sure how peach lace would match with light pink eyelet, but together with the ribbon the effect is pretty nice. It has a strawberry/peach ice cream look to it. I wish I could keep it! I'm sure I have enough materials to make one for Kristen's Saffron.

My next course of action will be to make some kind of light blue knit turtleneck sweater for a standard SD, and pair it with an A-line skirt. Have I been playing too much Pop'N Music 5? ^__^ I already made a cardigan out of that material for Fuuka. It came out a little big,but it looks very comfortable!

I'm not impressed by Azone's March selection. They're releasing a new doll, but I figure, for $70 I can buy two Volks wigs, or a pair of Zoukei-mura eyes! I also might want to buy myself a new comforter for my bed--my current one looks gray and nasty!

I had kind of wanted to go out and shovel today, but my brothers and father ended up doing it. I think I could use the exercise! I haven't had a problem with my weight for a long time, but I've been eating way too many sweets lately. I'm used to never eating dessert--dessert for me should be more dinner! When I was younger I used to crave carbohydrates all the time, but now I seem to like protein more than anything. I've never had a sweet tooth, but when the dessert is something pretty and fancy I have a hard time resisting it!

Last night, I burned the roof of my mouth eating a Chicken and Chile Verde burrito from Trader Joe's. Those things can retain a lot of heat!

The Grimm's Fairy Tales are starting to depress me. I've been reading from a section titled "Religious Stories for Children" and they're all filled with mothers and their children bleeding and dying with flowers held piously in their hands. There was also this story called "Children Who Played at Slaughtering" that completely grossed me out--it was about a group of kids who saw their father slaughtering a pig and decided to reinact the whole event on each other. It reminded me a lot of this story I read in Spanish class about these autistic kids who saw their maid slaughtering a chicken and ended up beheading their little sister. God..it is amazing how these stories can ruin my mood for hours. And yet...I keep reading them. Like a masochist.^__^;;
