I know that some cat owners must be thinking, "Why has this kitten completely seized control of your life?" Well, to tell you the truth Lucas is more like a dog than a cat. ^_^; He follows people around, he loves to play fetch. It doesn't matter who you are--if you're in the room with him and a group of people and you leave, he will run after you. If you close a door behind you and he's on the other side of it, he'll cry and then yowl until you let him in to see what you're up to. XD

He's very much like my beloved Black Kitty, except with less unintentional scratching and more shrieking. Holy crap, I cannot get over how loud this kitten can be when he wants your attention! I'm trying to discourage him from yelling at people's bedroom doors. Today he waited quietly at my brother's door to charge in when he opened it. I think his training has been half successful. XD

Now that we moved the litter box to his area of choice ::snickers:: he's been using the new one exclusively. Problem solved? I hope so!

We bought him a few cans of Merrick's gourmet canned cat food. Supposedly it's made with human-grade ingredients but I haven't taken the manufacturer's suggestion and tried some myself. I tell you, Lucas is nuts for this stuff. We gave him half a little can yesterday as a treat. Today we gave him the rest, and when Kristen was spooning it onto a plate Lucas was so overjoyed he kept meowing wildly and paw-hugging her ankles.

Aannnd tonight he tried to jump down the front of my shirt. It's happened before. I can only laugh.

I've hurt my arm constantly waving the fishing lure toy. Also, I like to do a mean trick when I'm playing ball with Lucas--sometimes I throw the ball into a busy area like the kitchen or at people's ankles. It's a riot to see a kitten rocket across the house after it.

Lucas, you would be perfect...if only you'd stop screaming, stop passing gas when you want to cuddle, and keep your nose clean. Tomorrow I'm going to try to trim his nails ha ha ha...

Gassiness tends to arise from food not being processed well. The new food you mentioned might solve it. It also just may be a kitten-tummy thing and will go away as he gets older.

Might want to have an old towel ready to mummify him with when you go to trim his nails. ^o^

I've just seen a pic of your kitty and I'm totally melt. He's lovely. ;w;
My cat is pretty vocal too, but apparently there's no way to silence her when she wants to say something - she just speaks more loudly. Anyway, I admit it's pretty funny to live with a "talking" cat. *laughs* XD

Thank you! :D At first his constant shrieking was hard to deal with, but with each day he becomes more cute and less crazy. It's kind of funny because Ragdolls are not supposed to be vocal cats. The breed description says they have a "quiet, musical voice." Well, sometimes his voice is musical but when he yells you can hear it down the street. And if you ignore him he keeps getting louder and louder!-- he's like "meow...meow...MEOW! MEOW! OW! OW! OWWWWW!"
