Snow snow snow.....
Feb. 18th, 2003 10:12 pmThe Weather Channel says that if it snows on Friday, this month is going to be the SNOWIEST MONTH EVER. Ha ha ha...whatever that means. Whatever happened to January of 1996?
I was going to make something nice for dinner, but everyone was so exhausted from shoveling (that's right, we ALL had to pitch in clearing the 4 ft high snow drifts off the sidewalks!) that we ended up just making chicken. I feel bad for Kristen; she was the one who shoveled the most! My brothers were actually supposed to do it but they put it off until night. ^___^;;.....
I helped! It's not my fault the snow drifts were taller than me! Am I ever going to be sore tomorrow!
I don't really have anything interesting to say. I wanted to sew tonight, but my iron's broken. There were a lot of poor kitties wandering around the snow when Kristen and I were shoveling. I can't believe our neighbors make them stay outside in this weather! -___- I think that two of the neighborhood cats are living under our stairs. They both have collars--one of them belongs to the people next door, but they won't ever let him inside because they don't want him scratching up their furniture. He used to belong to their daughter, so I guess that once she moved out they stopped taking care of him. He used to be plump, but the last few times I saw him he looked kind of skinny. Are they even feeding him at all? Why won't these people take care of their pets? I know cats have fur, but you can't tell me they don't feel cold if they have to stay outside in the middle of a blizzard!
Those cats used to really bother me the way they were always hanging around in my yard, but now I feel sorry for them. If my parents didn't hate cats so much, and it weren't punishable by law, I would be doing some serious cat-napping right now!
I wish I could have a kitten ;_;! I'm so squeamish around animals that I'd be afraid to even pick it up, though.^__^
