I'm hunnnnnnnnngry ;_;!
Nov. 14th, 2002 05:02 pmBut it's not time for dinner, not yet. I haven't even started making it =_=.....
I did a little more Christmas shopping. My Japanese PS2 came in today, and I ordered Pop'N Music 5 for Kristen's Christmas present. As far as I know, it's the only game besides 2 that's not an append disc. I didn't want to have to buy another copy of Pop'N 2 for the Playstation (I have it for the Dreamcast already, but Konami stopped making those games for the Dreamcast after 4.) It was expensive....::sighs::......I ordered it from Himeya, and they're charging $20 to ship it! Oh well...you gotta do what you gotta do! Playing those games is one of the only things that can always send me to my happy place ^_^;;;.....
I beat Rockman 8 in one day! ^_^ I didn't find it terribly easy, but it was pretty short. I have to say that even with my not-so-great Japanese skills I found myself understanding what was being said in the Japanese anime cut scenes more than in the English ones. That was some baaaaaaaad dubbing! The Japanese voice cast was one of the best I've heard in a video game. Rockman's voice was really cute ^_^! After hearing who played him, I was afraid he was going to sound like Quatre or something, but he didn't. I know that people have complained about him sounding like a girl in the Japanese version too, but what the hell were they expecting him to sound like? Looking like that??? O_O
Roll actually sounded less annoying than Lisa from Innocent Sin. She didn't bother me. Forte (Bass) was.....um.....to tell you the truth, I can't stand him as a character, but his voice suited him. Even if his seiyuu did have a tendency to overact. He was very loud and angry. Much better than his English voice, definitely! Now I have to listen to the Hiei song on my YuYu Hakusho CD and laugh!....
Duo....sounded just like Akio from Utena. He scared me! I have to wonder why they gave him such a high-pitched voice in the dub when he sounded so....manly in the original. Who knows? O_O
I was worried about how Blues would sound, because I had listened to some WAV files of him from one of the Japanese arcade games, and I was like O_o.....Thankfully, his voice actor was different in Rockman 8. His voice wasn't deep at all, and he sounded kind of....smarmy. I remember that when I first heard his seiyuu in Gundam Wing (he played Treize) I didn't really like him, but I warmed up to him after I found out that he was one of the only cast members who could sing ^____^;;.....So.....rock on, Blues!
::sits there remembering how much the American Mega Man cartoon sucked::
That show was a piece of crap. I admit that Protoman (Blues) had some of the best lines, but his character was totally wrong. He's supposed to be like Racer X!
On an odd note, it said in the directions of Rockman 8 that Rockman doesn't know that Blues is his older brother (who ran away from home years ago ^_^). I guess Capcom of America did tweak the plot when they brought the games over!
Bleeh....I ordered reddish-purple Volks glass eyes from Minako. I know that they'll take a loooooong time to come in, but I don't mind. I also ordered an SH-06 head, because I still haven't been able to get one (damn it!)
