The sauce used in the dish is one of my absolute favorite Asian-style stir fry sauces (and I've gone through a lot). Click on the picture for the recipe!

If you don't like spicy food, you can adjust the heat by reducing the amount of chili garlic sauce. As it is, the dish would be medium-spicy. I like to use it with tofu, chicken and vegetable stir-fries and serve it over sticky rice. This time, however, I used Trader Joe's frozen brown rice. It has an appealing, chewy texture and cooks in three minutes in the microwave. Besides, I always need the fiber. XD

There's nothing wrong with your cooking. It's good to be well-rounded. It's better than having tastes like a five-year-old like certain family members.

I'm remembering presenting a certain family member-in-law with a lovely bowl of homemade chicken stew, only to get the bowl back a half hour later with the meat gone and all the peas, carrots and potatoes left behind. ::sobs::

Is there no place in the world for people like you and me? ;_;

Maybe their mothers didn't spank them enough as children.

I agree, it's no fun when no one shares our tastes (I liked the Akino Arai stuff very much, by the way, especially her version of the theme song to Record of Lodoss War. I'm looking for a blank CD to burn it to so I can listen in peace). But what you can do? Some people who like to try new things welcome their friends' suggestions about music, but other people....anyway, I know what that's like. When I was in college my roommate (whom I had known since high school)insisted on playing her music all the time, and the one time I wanted to play one of my CDs for her she asked a guest who had just come into the room to turn it off and spare her. XD

I guess that the soundtrack to Chess isn't for everyone!

Did Masumi Ito sing the theme song to Noein? I don't know how familiar I am with her. I'm curious.

I wouldn't mind if you didn't want to eat it. I just don't like it when people in real life ask for my food and then pick and complain about it having too many vegetables and weird tastes, when I could have had the leftovers for lunch the next day! :O

I'm not quite that sensitive! o_o

Everyone has their tastes. I just hope you take a multivitamin or something. My older brother has been quite a fussy eater all his life and two years ago, he slipped on the ice outside his apartment and fractured his femur (only inches away from a total hip replacement!)...I swear malnutrition made his bones brittle. The doctors said they never saw an injury like that in a 30 year old before--that usually only happens to old people. So please, try to at least drink some milk, or something. XD
