Our most vigorous plant.
Jun. 18th, 2011 02:15 pmWe've had this coreopsis for at least ten years. It just won't die! Not that I want it to...
I remember being attracted to coreopsis a.k.a tickseed because during family vacations to Cape Cod I would always see it growing on the edge of sandy paths alongside beach roses and beach plums. It's probably the most drought-tolerant plant we've ever grown. I think it's the state flower of Florida.
There are newer varieties in prettier colors, but they never seem to last as long or have as rounded of a habit.
This plant has survived having cats pee in it regularly. It really is a hardy plant!
