Julia Child, You Make Me Proud!

That bud has been opening about a millimeter a day, but really, how pretty!

"Julia" is supposed to have an unusual licorice fragrance. I don't smell anything right now, probably because it's been raining so much.

I sprayed everything with Actinovate again this morning. I don't know how well it will do with the blackspot, but it got rid of the powdery mildew on the yellow lilac! I guess I shouldn't get to discouraged about the roses right now. After all, if I managed to save last year's yellow mini rose from the jaws of death, I should be able to accomplish something here, too.
