I think it's been close to six months since I bought a doll. Not bad, huh? But Oct. 14th was my birthday, and I was feeling deprived. I ordered this cutie on the 15th. I had heard some horror stories about factory flaws after my order was confirmed, but I figured I shouldn't count on receiving a damaged doll.

Sure enough, she arrived with a big scuff on her right eye. Thankfully, I had a bottle of Liquitex paint in Ivory Black, and I wasn't afraid to use it! Fixing a bad factory paint job on a big headed doll like Suzette is much easier than painting the eyes on a 1/6 scale doll head! I'm just glad she didn't have any marks on her face. I wouldn't feel safe using acetone to remove them.

Other than the dinged eye paint, she's in fine shape. I love her opalescent hair! Her full name is Suzette la Sweet, which reminds me of a not-so-great Billy Wilder movie called Irma la Douce that featured Shirley MacLaine as a French prostitute. XD

Thank you! :D

I think these dolls are just adorable. I have to keep telling myself that even though they cost a fraction of the amount of a Blythe or Pullip, they take up the same amount of space, or more because you have to display them sitting against something.
