I know it's the fault of the Japanese postal system and not HLJ's, but I am SO annoyed that they're not going to be doing UPS drop shipping any more. Jeez! Now the Lycee that I ordered is going to cost an arm and a leg to ship. EMS? Isn't that going to cost something like $20?

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise, because I won't order anything spur-of-the-moment any more. But this is going to KILL HLJ's business. I've been shopping from their site for almost four years. I feel bad. =_=....

I had a dream last night that vampires stole Emilio and I had to face a whole ballroom full of them in order to get him back. Yes...they were Anne Rice vampires. I won't say any more. ^_^;.....

I added some pictures to my second gallery page. You can see here:

I need to repaint Kei soon. I want him to have the same kind of look (dark violet eyes, a little downcast) but neater. Unfortunately, I'm way too low on male doll clothing. He'd have to wear Kuniyoshi's jacket and shirt...and no pants. Jeez, can't I get off my butt and sew a pair of pants?!

Hmmm... in a pinch, could you give him commercially-made doll clothing? I know that Mattel and similar companies should be releasing a slew of "cool" male doll clothing for the My Scene and Bratz Boyz lines.

I don't have dolls from either series yet, although I hope to get some just to compare poseability and clothes-fit with the Volks and Obitsu bodies I currently have.

... when I find the My Scene/Bratz Boyz on sale or clearance, that is.

Bummer about the HLJ thing. :( My fiance noted that he would be okay with the SAL shipping, as it usually takes about the same amount of time as airmail for half the cost... but all that will change once he leaves NY for our future home in Connecticut. Having never lived outside the Big City (and having had a heck of a time while visiting the future home-city of Enfield), he's feeling very pessimistic about the whole thing.

That's a good idea ^_^! I hadn't thought of that. Maybe there's hope for my boys yet!

SAL shipping shouldn't be that bad. I think that for one of those Obitsu bodies it still would be around $20, though! It's too bad that you can't track with it, but I'm usually not too nuts with that kind of thing. I haven't lost a package yet.

Enfield, huh.....I think that's close to Hartford. At least, it's in Hartford county ^_^;....I don't think I've ever been there, but it's probably about 45 to 50 minutes away from where I live. (Cheshire) Connecticut is a pretty small state! All I can say is the weather usually is fairly decent. Litchfield County gets all the nasty storms, but when I was in school in Hartford we didn't get much of anything.

Thanks for the weather news. :)

Ahaaa... see, I have no clue as to US geography, muchless Connecticut geography, so all I know about Enfield is that it's some three hours from New York... and the taxi driver taking my fiance from the train station to his workplace in Enfield got lost. And when a coworker drove my guy to the train station for the trip home, they missed his train and he had to wait another three hours for the next one, pretty much ruling out any possibility of commuting. :p

Thanks to some alarmist friends and family, I was getting a mental image of Enfield as a big scary area with hot summers and blizzard winters. I'm very relieved to hear that it's not really storm country.

As I've spent almost all of my life in Vancouver on the West Coast of Canada, I've never really had to deal with extreme cold or extreme heat (extreme in this case being "over 88 F or under 20F"). Hopefully I won't have too much trouble adapting to Connecticut... aside from learning how to drive in the snow. :)
