I was a bad girl and deboxed all my Monster High dolls today. I just wanted to check and make sure they were all in one piece! ::snickers::

From what I've heard, the dolls that have the most issues are the re-releases of the first line and the first release of the Gloom Beach series. That's a pity, because I really like the face paint on Gloom Beach Frankie. Even if the doll only costs $10, I don't think I want to deal with a girl that falls apart! Mattel may have done another release of that series with better quality dolls. I guess I'd have to see them in person...

The only doll of mine that has body issues is Dead Tired Lagoona. One of her forearms is a bit too loose. I know that you're supposed to be able to pull the arms off to change the clothes. I've owned enough Volks dolls to recognize that it isn't that easy to do that often without breaking the doll!

I think that the Draculaura that comes in a set with Clawd is my favorite, oddly enough. I didn't even like Draculaura when I saw her in the store, but the version with the high pigtails is adorable! Unfortunately, her hair is cut unevenly, and she has some issues with shedding. It's strange that only the black hair falls out...

I'm still having a hard time getting used to my School's Out Frankie. She's too much of an eye makeup (and lipstick!) fiend for my taste, especially compared to the fresh-faced Dead Tired version. Oh well. Maybe in a few more weeks...

Skull Shores Abbey is very well made compared to the other dolls. Her joints are really stiff!

I think that whether or not I like a doll is entirely a matter of taste...but is there a single version of Cleo de Nile that doesn't look like a cheap toy that sheds tinsel everywhere? I guess it's the fault of her character design; her eyes are far too wide for her head. The promo pictures of her sister, Nefera, are actually rather nice. I wonder how the final product will look?

I wonder what was up with the Draculaura we saw at Target earlier this month? Maybe she was defective. ^^;;; I saw two different Draculauras at Walmart yesterday and both of them were cute.

I thought Gloom Beach Frankie was very pretty but I was already getting you Abbey... ^^; And since I heard about the Gloom Beach line having quality issues, I thought it would be better to get Dead Tired Frankie for myself.

I think you made the right choice. I had asked you to look for Abbey, anyway. ^o^;

Maybe one of us could pick up Gloom Beach Frankie later. Only if we can get her in person, though. Otherwise, you might have her shipped to you exploded inside her box! XD
