I broke down and started up on the mini SD coat again tonight. This time, I've found that I need to use bigger needles (last time my gauge was off and I needed to use size 3). I'm also using pink boucle instead of the blue-green I used before, just to give myself a little added motivation.

I am going to knit very slowly. No television or music in the background, and if I break a sweat, I'm putting it down! Even if it takes me a month to finish it, I'm not going to mess it up again.

Kristen has been very glum today. She couldn't get Ryundel, our brother has been hasseling her about washing the kitchen floor and getting in his way, she burnt her hand and on top of that a mole ran away with one of her lilies. =_=...I'm not very good at cheering people up, but I tried to make it up to her to babying her a little. It's been a bad luck week. The Doll and Hobby Shoppe put its remaining 1/6 scale dolls on sale, and I kind of badgered her into asking for Raughla13. I had planned on getting her a long time ago, but she doesn't have any cute mini dolls!

For some reason, whenever I try to cheer someone up, I go to bed at the end of the day feeling bad.

I played the Sims tonight. My girl is unhappy again. I need to have her make more friends!

I'm hungry. I wish we had a nice, ripe avocado lying around, I love avocado! When I was younger I hated them, but Kristen ate them all the time. I ate half of one first thing in the morning once and it made me sick! But when I tasted it in sushi I really liked the texture, and then I started eating them occasionally. I know they're high in fat, but if they give me joy, who cares?

I wish we had more chocolate mousse =_=...

I felt kind of sick to my stomach yesterday, and I wondered if I contracted salmonella from the raw egg whites in the chocolate mousse. Then I ate some more late at night, and I felt fine. I guess we'll make it again!

I could use some sushi right now! Salmon or eel sounds good. When I first tried sushi I thought it was okay, but there was something about tuna rolls that didn't strike my fancy. I figured I was still squeamish about the raw fish, but I think I just don't like maguro that much. It's a little bit bitter. I like salmon rolls much better--I think that's one fish that tastes better raw!

Kristen says that when she went to Japan, her host parents told her that most Japanese people think that Westerners hate eel. Is that true? The first time I tried unagi I thought it was fantastic. ^_^;...I don't know...does the fact that eels look like snakes drive people away?

Even my mother likes it, and she doesn't even like Japanese food. ^_^

I'd like to try it the way people in other countries besides Japan cook it, but where are you supposed to find eel?
