Yes, this is the real "Quietness" getting ready to open its first flowerbud. There aren't many similarities between this beauty and the mystery rose I posted before.

I'm really glad I opened my mouth and got a replacement. At this point, that "Silver Shadows" mislabeled as "Quietness" is preparing a magnificent second flush of seven flowerbuds which will, with the grace of whatever deity you believe in, remain free of thrips. Regardless of the bad rep it gets from some rose gardeners we've been finding it to be a really good plant...but it is not "Quietness." "Quietness" is not purple.
