I didn't do anything creative today. I've reached the bad point of the month. I don't think I need to spell it out. I'm in a goodly amount of pain ^_^;....

Kristen finally made the pear ice cream she's been planning for awhile. It required quite a bit of clean-up on my part but it turned out very good! The recipe asked for three tablespoons of brandy in the cream mixture but we substituted rum and added chopped crystallized ginger to it toward the end of the machine cycle. Even our parents liked it--that was impressive!

Kristen received a package in the mail today. She had ordered some nice hand-painted wool yarn and bamboo knitting needles a few weeks ago and the package had been misrouted by the postal service to MA! She was worried she wouldn't ever get it, but thankfully made it home....after almost 3 weeks. -_-;;...The yarn's pretty, but it smells weird. Must be because it's handpainted.
