It's moles. Or voles. And while they have not succeeded in doing in Marianne, they've killed Lavender Lassie. Damn damn damn why does gardening have to deal such heartbreak?

I too am very upset about what happened to Lavender Lassie, but I guess we can consider ourselves warned. At least the warning wasn't something like the ultra-expensive Capitaine John Ingram! ::gulps::
