Work and dolls.
Aug. 6th, 2003 10:54 pmMy auctions are being bid on. That makes me happy ^___^.
I've been working hard...to stay busy. I always feel better about myself and life in general if I keep working at something. I rooted another circle on my red-brown SH-06 head. I've promised myself that once I finish with him and the white-haired mini I'll attempt to get the materials for those two other dolls I mentioned. I'm having a hard time thinking of a way to root the mini girl that would make her look different from the other mini dolls I've seen. I had wanted to give her braids but I've had bad experiences rooting complex hairstyles on the smaller heads. What can I do? ::siiiiiiigh::
I ordered Eyeco eyes for Fuuka and Maya. I don't like to mention anything I've bought until I actually have the said item in my hands, but I'm interested in seeing how they look in them ^__^;;...I ordered Stormy in 20mm for Fuuka and Chuck Hazel in 18mm for Maya. I hope they come in soon!
I did a little work on my page; I completed Reiko's profile (finally!) and deleted some useless pictures off my server. You can see Reiko's profile here:

That reminds me, I have to repaint Kei soon. As I was deleting old pictures I got a look at some of my ooooold custom dolls, some of which have been repainted. All I can say is, ugh! I'm no expert but I do think I've come a long way since the fall of 2000 when I first started customizing. When it comes down to it there are no tricks to eye-painting--observation and experience are the only things that ever helped me. You can't improve on your painting without the brush in your hand!
I wish SDs were cheap. I would have so much fun customizing them to my whims! I had thought that I could still find some way to manage that, but as of recently I've decided that I can't see myself buying any more Super Dollfies. So I'll just be fussing over the ones I have till the end of time. ^_6
