I want to write a happier entry to get myself out of this bad mood. I didn't want this to be the kind of journal to rant and complain in, but what's been going on in DOA has really rubbed me the wrong way. I don't know why the argument doesn't end.

I wish there was a way I could let Minako know that she has my support, but I don't want to post to that thread because it would just drag it on even longer -_-;;....

Anyway.....

Sometimes, I think I'd like to call it quits with dreaming of more SDs and just collect glass eyes for them. They're just so beautiful, even by themselves! I'm not saying that I would display them without a doll or anything, but.....they're so pretty and feel so nice in cool in your hands! I've never been into jewelry, but I think that buying glass eyes for an SD is just as fun as buying jewelry for yourself. I only have one pair of Tallina's glass eyes that I'm saving for Christmas, but I think I'm hooked! :D I hope Volks glass eyes are just as pretty--they come in such neat colors!

I'm starting to find that new SD, Aya, very appealing. I never liked the 4 sisters dolls, but she looks like a prettier version of them. I'm also.....starting to think that the mini SD boy is kind of cute. ^_^;;.....maybe I'm the only one? I still like Mika better, though!

Bwa ha ha ha... I can just see shelves of dolls replaced by glass eyes, just sort of sitting there and staring out at you. =@_@= What a creepy idea. You're making me jealous! I wish my SD was here, too. =^^=;;

Maybe I should ask Minako to pick up a Myu for me when you get yours, if there are any left? They could be soul-sisters or something. =^.^=;

That would be cute! :D I think that if she's a kit she'll come in sooner. I think you'd really like mini SDs...^_^

Granted, those Volks glass eyes are really hard to get. I'm lucking out with the red ones, but most of them time I hear they take several months to come in! T'will be a labor of love....

Dun worry, it's been a really long and annoying day. Time to be happy! Right? Have some sugar and dolls and think happy thoughts. =^__^=

Aaah! I think I'll have to ask Minako. I wanted to get a kit version of Myu anyway. Since my FCS SD will be getting sanded and coated, I'd like to attempt all that esthetics stuff myself, too. Is stringing and everything hard? I'm afraid I'll mess up severely and hate myself forever for ruining the poor doll. =o_<=;; That doesn't stop me from wanting to try, though!

So the red ones are hard to get, hm? Any idea on the thin green ones, or is there a good place online to buy light green eyes? If/when I get Myu, she must have light green eyes. Must. =o_o=;;

Tallina's eyes are actually really pretty ^_^! I think that the closest color they have to light green is gray-green though....if you really like those eyes like Jujube has you might want to ask Minako to order the real thing for you. Ask her for Volks Zoukei-mura #4 light green glass eyes in....well, I know they make them in 18mm (not sure about 16mm, the mini SD standard size). I think someone said that 18mm fits in the new mini SDs. If not, you'd have to carve her head to make them fit.

I think I'm lucky because I asked for Volks glass eyes and they actually had them ^_^! I hear they're order made.

Stringing isn't that hard. I didn't do it (Kristen did) but she said it's not bad at all. Of course, you do have to coat her, but you might not find sanding necessary for a mini SD.

Gray-green? Hmm, maybe gray-green or just plain gray wouldn't be bad, either. Eek, I don't even have a mini yet and I'm already planning tons of things for her. =o.o=;; Just as well, I suppose, I think my FCS SD will pretty much stay the same, no major wig or eye changes for her. My mini could be my ever-changing girl. =^.~= The only problem I have with Volks eyes is that they're rather expensive, aren't they? =$_$=;

If I got stuck on sanding or coating or stringing or whatever, I'm sure I know someone here at school that could help me. I hope! Being at an art school should provide plenty of artistic-y people that I could leech off of... =O.o=;

Yeah, Volks eyes are expensive...verrrrry pretty, though...I really hope they do make them in 16mm size! I swear, I saw a mini SD on Yahoo! Japan and they said she had 16mm Zoukei Mura eyes. If I could get them for my Myu, I'd get them in Kite Purple or some shade of blue-green... I already have dark violet Tallina's eyes for her,though. I really shouldn't have spent the money, but I wanted her to have something that made her different from everybody else's Myu!

I think a small child could string a Mini SD. You do have to glue the joints, but it's not really very scary.
