My First Love. My Best Love.

Chapeau de Napoleon was the first OGR I ever wanted. Seeing him bloom for the third time this year, I don't think I will ever love a rose as much as I love this rose. Sure, he has an ugly habit, and many people only grow him for his unique mossed buds, but to me his flowers are the most beautiful in the world.

Whenever I show him off to people in person they never seem impressed. It's no wonder I'm such a lonely person, LOL...I want people on the street to gawk at him and appreciate his robust blooms. People only seem to notice the asters in the fall!

I love blooms like that. I wish I was better equipped to deal with roses because I would have that one in an instant. :D

Thank you! Aren't they awesome? XD This rose didn't set as many buds as it did last year, but the flowers this year are huge.

It's too bad that you don't have a place to grow once-blooming roses. I mainly started gardening as a way of consoling myself during severe weather season, but I don't think you get as many storms as we do, LOL...
