A Very Strange Thing.

Today was...hummm....not a great day now that I think about it. My older brother found out that he didn't get into the graduate school he wanted to attend. They made him wait for so long to hear about it, and now this? No one is happy around my house any more. I was feeling pretty depressed and for some reason started looking out the living room window into the yard. And who did I see, but....
Our black kitty friend! I hadn't seen him since that day I played with him on August 31! O_O
I had been so worried about him. I thought that since he took so well to us he'd hang out in our yard, but I never saw him again. I thought he might have had an accident, or something, but there he was, safe and sound....and looking quite healthy!
I was wearing these plaid pajama pants I lounge around the house in, but I ran out to see him just the same. I figured he would just bolt since it had been so long since he last saw me, but he came rushing up to me and wanted to play! This strange kitty, now almost full-grown and really beautiful, whom I only played with once months ago! ^___^
Unfortunately, he's too big for my lap now.
Here's a picture of him menacing Kristen's legs (note her pajama pants. We're both lazy slobs.).
And here he is, drinking rainwater out of an old seed tray. Weird kitty.
At first he seemed much more mellow and independent than before, but once I went inside and left him to his own devices he parked himself on our deck by the door and meowed pathetically. He tried to get inside the house when I went out to play with him again. Ha ha ha! :D Well, I'm glad he's okay after all. Pretty weird that he recognized me after all that time!

Date: 2003-11-02 08:35 pm (UTC)It seems that everyone has had some kind of furry pet but me. My mother hates cats so I can't have one unless I move out. Even after meeting this sweetie she can't be swayed. It's just as well, though, because my house certainly isn't cat-proofed!
