My Work with Ciel.
Dec. 23rd, 2003 11:27 pmI think Kristen mentioned in one of her posts that I gave Ciel her face-up yesterday (or was it the day before that?). Well, the whole thing took me two days to do, anyway! ^o^ After consulting with weather.com I decided that I'd better do it before it starts raining--I needed to spray her outside.
Yeah..well....first I tried removing her original face paint with Volks Make-up Remover. No dice. That stuff is great for removing sealer and acrylic paint but I had to use professional strength nail polish remover to take off the airbrushed Volks paint. o_o Getting the paint out of her eyewells was a pain in the ass.
Volks, you sure did a crappy job on her make-up! I think her naked face looked better than the way she did right out of the box. Anyhoo, I used Liquitex paint and Volks pastels on her. Volks pastels are nice! They don't stick at all if you don't shave them into a powder with a knife first, though. n_n
I planned on giving her taupe eyeshadow but the pastel I chose turned out to be mauve once I applied it. Not too bad. I had to mix the paint for her lips and the crease of her eyelids myself, though. She has neutral makeup. Her eyelashes are pretty dark but they're short. I think they're a nice contrast with her light makeup and the fluorite eyes.
I'm going to post a picture of her on Christmas. ^o ^ Kristen knit her a pretty pink and gray sweater, but she's naked from the waist down! I was going to sew her some jeans with this teal sparkle disco denim I bought last month but I've had a stomachache all night. ;_;
