Hey. I broke my restriction to buy this lovely girl. Meet Pullip Nomado!
I told myself that I'm not going to get too many of these dolls. It took me about 15 minutes to pry her out of her box! They pinned her hair down in 4 places. o_o Her outfit has a lot of detail. See the pretty little dragonfly pin on her jacket? She also has a new body-type with a soft torso. I hardly have reason to complain about her, but her leather pants are so tight she can't sit down. Oh well. Her platform boots are fantastic. She comes with a cute guitar. ^_^
And I fall deeply in love with the Pullip girls. Will Nomado be enough for me?
I'm still working on the dropped-shoulder sweater for Maya. I'm also still playing Final Fantasy V. I just came across this nasty turtle creep in a cave called Gilgame or something...let me tell you, I keep throwing money at him and HE WILL NOT DIE!
Oooh, Nomado.

Sorry to bombard you with questions!
Re: Oooh, Nomado.
Date: 2004-03-10 10:37 pm (UTC)Pullip heads are bigger than MSD heads. Maybe they're closer to SD size? The SD with the smallest head I have is Michael, and his head is a little bit larger than a Pullip's.
I don't know if you're familiar with the soft jointed bodies used with some Tsukuda Hobby dolls, but the new Pullip body has a torso that feels like them. Soft vinyl incasing a hard plastic frame. It's kind of squishy. Pullips in general have heads that are much too heavy for their poor bodies, but with the new bodies they feel a little more balanced. ^_^ The old body had a tendency to tense up in the middle. I think the new one is better, at least for now!
Tsukuda Hobby...
Date: 2004-03-11 06:20 am (UTC)I sort of wish they'd re-release the Withered Pullip with the new body. I'm all in favor of the less-visible screws, and IIRC Withered's make-up was fairly classy as well. *sigh*
Oh well, I guess I'll keep waiting for my own Perfect Pullip.

Date: 2004-03-12 01:27 pm (UTC)Withered is a nice Pullip! The preliminary photos showed her in an odd, almost demonic light but she really is a stylish girl with nice brown-toned makeup. The first Pullip to have the new body was Venus, huh? Too bad you can't do head-removal like with Jenny dolls...
