I was going to paint a doll this weekend, but I was too busy doing yard work. ^__^; This is the little girl I made with the custom blend hair I ordered from RestoreDoll(Plum Crazy and Midnight). I did something different with her rooting pattern; I rooted her for middle-parted hair and no bangs and rooted the bangs in after I boiled the hair down. The result was supposed to look like Volks' Albert's hairstyle, but you can't really tell from these pictures. Meet Kumi:

Hey, somebody has to wear those Kotobukiya photo-etched eyeglasses!

I'm very pleased with the job RestoreDoll did with the Two-Tone blended hair. Having to mix the colors yourself is a real pain! I was originally going to give Kumi-chan short hair, but the plum-black mesh is so pretty that I think I'll leave her hair long. She bears a passing resemblance to Sailor Mars, but I didn't plan it that way! ^o^

I have to stop watching that HBO Prisoner of Azkaban special every time it's on. But I can't help it! When David Thewlis smiles when they mention Alan Rickman in a dress, it's so cute! Waku waku....^o^

sailormars so rules :)

I think she looks so cute! The haircolor is really pretty, and it sets off her eyepaint very well..

Thank you ^_^! I had a hard time figuring out what eye color to give her, but I figured purple would be the safest match!

Thank you ^_^!

I really like the RestoreDoll hair color Plum Crazy, and I thought it would go nicely with black.

I'm wondering if R.O.D didn't subconsciously influence me in making this doll? It seems like it. ^o^

So pretty! That color combination is absolutely gorgeous, and the eyepaint works great with it. :)

How did the bang-rooting go? Was it easier than rooting them first?

Thank you ^_^!

It was actually much harder to do it this way, but I hoped it would give her a different look. I guess this is the way some people root the head if they want to give the doll a ribbon or hairband or something.

Thank you ^____^!

I actually screwed up on this doll when I first started rooting her, and I had to start over. Even after this long, I still make mistakes! ^__^;....
