Uh-yup, I finished it tonight.
It was a good game. Not "god-like" like some people say, because even though Kristen and I had fun with it the plot was lame and the characters just a step above cardboard cut-outs. Sorry, kids, but the game is old! XD Our party was Riesz, Angela and Hawkeye. We were handicapped because none of those characters have healing spells! It wasn't that bad, though. For class-changes we did light-light for Angela, light-dark for Riesz and dark-dark for Hawkeye. I controlled Riesz most of the time, but I don't know how we would have done it without Angela! The last battle was a toughie, because by the time we realized the Black Prince had a SECOND form we were almost entirely out of healing items and magic nuts. But, hurrah, if one of your characters dies and you revive them with an Angel Grail, they come back with full HP and MP! So we sat back and let our characters die one by one. Tee hee. ^o^
We beat the game in a little over 40 hours. Most of that time was spent gaining levels (we ended up somewhere around level 53). Things didn't really pick up until we reached the 30 hour mark. Fuu. Not a bad game at all, but it had its flaws. It was better than Tales of Destiny (the quintessential let-down game in my book). I'd give it maybe an 8 out of 10? It was fun to play but the plot and characters were sorely lacking.
I have some posts to respond to....I guess I'll do it later. It rained a lot today. Wasn't expecting that. Our Iceland poppies went splat. As I finished rooting that N-head with the lovely Stacy Titian hair last night, I did a little work on rooting a tanned A-type head with Ruby Slippers. Work work work. You'd think I'd take a break, but if I don't keep up with my hobbies in my free time I become moody and depressed. ^o^...Boredom depresses me.
