My New Doll.

I painted my doll with the SH-06 head and that new NDR red-brown hair last night. All in all it went okay, but as usual I started out planning to give him gray eyes and ended up doing them in blue-gray. Guess it just wasn't to be! ^o^

His name is Nicholas. He looks really happy, doesn't he? I left his hair long with the intention of tying it back, but I think I'll let it flow freely for the time being.

I really like the SH-06 head! ^__^ It's the only head I don't ever have a hard time painting. I do prefer to use it for male dolls, but it's so cute that I just might make a girl or two with it.

I need to find this kid some new clothes! He looks pretty dorky in that blue sweater.^_^;;.....

Emilio's New Eyes.

Actually, we were planning on giving these dark kite purple eyes to Maya, but now that I've made up my mind to sell Emilio's default eyes I wanted a pair of violet eyes to keep on hand in case I felt he couldn't look like his namesake any more ^^;;....

I'm getting the hang of changing his eyes, but it really is a pain. The best thing for me to do has been to stick the eye on my finger with a blob of Tallina's wax, lower it into his head and push it in gently like a contact lens, then fix it in place with more wax. My hands are scraped up a bit, but I guess there has to be a price to pay for him being so tightly strung!

Thinking of Christmas and Ciel. I would love to give her short hair. But I don't want to have to buy another wig...;_;...I wanted to make her look like one of those Lost Angel SDs because I already have a white wig! I guess that nothing is written in stone.
