Tales of Phantasia Love.

I've been playing Tales of Phantasia a lot more than necessary lately. I can't put my finger on exactly why I like that game so much but I don't think I've enjoyed a game so much since Valkyrie Profile. Maybe it's because it was developed by tri-Ace? Am I ready to declare myself a slave to tri-Ace? Not that I haven't been religiously hunting down all their games for as long as I've owned a PSX. ^o^

And you know you really like a game when you want to play it till the cows come home and you're not even favoring one character over the others. You just want to embrace the entire cast as a whole and like them all the same.

Now I have to fight and earn lots of money to buy cooking ingredients so I can have Klarth make sandwiches and hear his pretty voice over and over again. ^o ^... ^ o^

But gawd, Arche is annoying. Maybe her upbeat personality will grow on me but her voice is so irritating! She sounds like a toddler. To think that she's the most popular character in TOP! I don't understand it. I actually don't hate Mint. Maybe she'll do something to tick me off later but at least her instinct is to comfort Cless rather than flap her arms around and demand protection a la Sophia in SO3 or some equally wretched heroine.
